Handshake Jobs & New Careers analysis by Appwee
Let’s dive into the world of Handshake Jobs & New Careers, the app that’s basically your digital career coach. If you’re a student or recent graduate, you’ve probably heard of it—or maybe you’re just starting to explore. Either way, this app is like having a career fair in your pocket, but without the awkward networking moments.
Getting Started
First things first, downloading Handshake Jobs & New Careers is a breeze. Available on both Android and iOS, it’s designed to be super user-friendly. Once you fire it up, you’re greeted with an interface that’s as inviting as a cozy coffee shop on a rainy day. The setup process is pretty straightforward, and before you know it, you’re diving into a sea of opportunities.
Creating a profile is as easy as pie. You’ll input your school info, major, and a bit about your interests. Don’t worry; you’re not writing a novel here. The app does a stellar job of keeping it concise yet informative. Your profile is essentially your digital resume, so make sure it’s polished.
Exploring Features
Here’s where the fun begins. The job search feature is at the heart of the app. With filters galore, you can narrow down opportunities based on location, job type, industry, and more. It’s like having a personal assistant who knows exactly what you’re looking for.
Then there’s the events section. Handshake hooks you up with career fairs, networking events, and workshops. It’s like having a calendar full of opportunities without the hassle of searching high and low.
One standout feature I love is the employer reviews. These are like the Yelp reviews of the job world. You get the inside scoop from other students who’ve worked there. It’s a goldmine of information that can help you make informed decisions about where you want to apply.
What Makes It Shine
Now, let’s talk about why Handshake Jobs & New Careers is a game-changer. The personalized job recommendations are spot on. The app learns from your interactions and tailors suggestions just for you. It’s almost like it reads your mind, but in a non-creepy way.
Another thing that sets it apart is the connection to universities. Handshake collaborates with tons of schools, which means you’re getting job postings that are often exclusive to students. It’s like having VIP access to the career world.
Room for Improvement
While the app is pretty fantastic, no app is perfect, right? Sometimes the notifications can be a bit overwhelming. It’s great to be informed, but it can feel like your phone is constantly buzzing with updates. A bit of fine-tuning on notification settings could work wonders.
Additionally, while the app is intuitive, there might be a slight learning curve for those who aren’t as tech-savvy. A more detailed tutorial for first-time users could help smooth out the initial experience.

Overall, Handshake Jobs & New Careers is a solid app for anyone stepping into the professional world. It’s user-friendly, packed with features, and tailored to help you land that dream job. Whether you’re a freshman just starting out or a senior gearing up for graduation, this app is a must-have.
